Digital narative

The digital narrative was tough as I could not figure out how to get background music, it was interesting though as i heard my voice over the computer and ear buds. I'm very sorry that I could never figure out the music but I feel that the completion of 95% of the project was more important that not putting anything up. i wish that could have put a good song to this slid show as I feel that there is music that could make this slide show better that it is. I feel though that I will take this inspiration and create more slide shows but for my family. I wish that I could have got the music in there.My inspiration was my love of sports.

Quark and Indesign Bi BI Card

In creating a Bi BI card I found myself a lot of the time just stuck in what I would call first gear. Even after going through Quark as many times as i did I still felt that I could not really understand the program in its entirety. I liked doing it though once I figured out where I wanted to start. That was the tough part, because doing many different things at once on this program could get you lost. I also feel that I dealt with the issues in Quark quite well as my Bi BI card is close as I could get it to the actual deal. If I had more time or I understood things better like I feel a lot of the other students have. I also feel that the fact that i sat in the lab for hours to figure out how to use the program is a feat in itself. If i had more time i bet i would have made something that could have been put into an actual magazine.

With In design i was completely lost I was fighting an up hill battle the entire way as I had no clue how the program of In design works. i thought it was similar to Quark and in some aspects it was, but when it came to creating text and picture boxes it was a crazy experiment gone bad. I feel that if I had more time I would have probably figured out how to use the program and create a better Bi BI card. I think that I did a good job and I tried as hard as I possibly could so I am prod of my work.

I learned very little from this as I thought that I was lost the whole time. I worked on this project to no avail as I saw other classmates of mine struggling. I worked in the MAC lab for a good amount of time working on this only to be taught my Steven I felt that he did a good job but I wish I was informed before hand. I worked hard and my inspiration was that I love country music to see something I created on the web is great. I was struck by the fact that I could not change the music files. I fixed it by asking for help from some one.

Newsletter

My inspiration for this piece was my love of sports; I can watch all sports at any time. You give me a fanatic about sports and I'll show you me. I liked using people from our school in the project it gave me a little bit of self pride about our school. I had a hard time though fitting the pictures and texts in the right way. I went about it trying to copy and paste but it was not working but I finally got help and fixed the problem and Tucker had me help him as well. If I had more time I would liked to have made specialized pages for each sport and even make the newsletter longer because I feel our sports get overlooked alot and that's not fair. I am proud of what I have created and would gladly put it out there for my peers to read.

Brochure

What I was trying to accomplish in this project was to show the ways that different companies not just big ones can make brochures and sell products. I used a head shop for example because most shops like this are taboo because 99% of people believe that POT is sold in these places and the merchandise is really for tobacco. The problems were the same for this one as they were for the Poster and it was all because I felt that I did not know the program well enough and got confused on some of the functions. I like the work I have done on it but if i had more time I would have gave the background more color to make it more eye appealing. I am very proud of my work and would not change it but add on to make it better.

Poster

My inspiration for this piece of work was my love for Slightly Stoopid's genre of music. Slightly Stoopid plays a laid back rock that someone can not so much rock out too but vibe to it instead. The hardest part about this project was figuring out how to use Quark because I was having a really hard time and I was even struggling when my own class mates were explaining it too me. I overcame this by seeking help from our professor who sat me down and explained the basics and then from then on out I could figure it out on my own. If I had been better prepared I would have done more with it probably added better color and graphics to attract more eye attention. I am proud of what I have done, I mean it is mine and no can take that away from me but I feel that I could probably make it better.

Wikipedia

This project was fun as I took the pictures and the site Wikipedia.com just to get all information. The idea of Wikipedia had always amazed me,that people have so much information that they can share on a free wiki.One of my favorite things to go over was how star wars had its own wiki, called wookiepedia. IT was fun I would do it again and I don't know if I could have done any better.
